Maybe you, Maybe I .

Maybe you pour, maybe I do
Wine in glass for a share of two.
Late night in a crowded room,
To commit again, a mistake and doom.

Maybe you’ll love, maybe I do
Not because we’re meaning it to,
To find a little warmth in you,
Eyes shut close, to breath into you.

Maybe you'll blossom, maybe I do,
In all this love we spared for two.
Aimless a bird, with no care for purpose,
All this merely for the beauty of youth.

Then maybe we’ll struggle, surely we’ll do,
When there isn’t something, real to prove.
The burden of hopes, promises, doubts.
Was love just an escape, a point to prove?

And Maybe you'll wither, maybe I do,
But not these habits that quietly grew.
Deep in us, if we wanted to move,
Why do I now see, myself in you?
